Disney Pixar Cars 3rd Birthday !!!

My son loves the Disney Cars films, so I had to give him a Cars themed party of course! I bought a few items and made the rest on my own--take a  look !

I made this cake with black icing and crumbled cookies for a DIRT ROAD race!

Cherry tomatoes, er, TUH-MATERS!

Luigi's Tires are the Best!!

Red, yellow, and black !

I had planned on stacking the cakes, but it turned out that these tire-trimmed traffic light cakes were a better idea!!!

Fillmore's fuel made with "real lemons," lemonade and soda...

Traffic light cupcakes, Dirt Road cake, and red, yellow, and black Twizzlers (burnt rubber!)

Kids played a "Collision of Worlds" car game (similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey)

I made the traffic construction cones with Styrofoam cups and orange duct tape (I bought the checkered toothpick flags). At first I was bummed that the duct tape was so wrinkly, but then perked up when I remembered that all the cones I see on the road are beat up like this anyway!

Party favors for the girls

Lemon notepads---true Cars 2 fans would get the "lemons" reference ;)

I printed out the modest labels myself

"Life is a Highway"

I took these cool pictures from a library book, had them printed, added the details to create a postcard effect (similar to the closing credits of Cars 2)
The birthday boy !! (That's a car sun "screen" I found in the garage as the backdrop)

Stop, Slow, GO!!!

Used my son's own car collection as party decor  of course!

My husband had the idea of using brand new car funnels (or whatever they are) to pour the  "fuel" with  style

Pizza "imported" from Italy by Mama Topolino!

In Cars 2, Mater thought the pistachio ice cream had "turned," but it was actually wasabi !

Crafts for the kids

Ka-Chow!!!

It was so much fun to plan and host the party. My son wants another Cars party for his 4th party! Thanks for checking it out !!!
